About Us

Z Beans Coffee has made tremendous strides since its founding in 2016. Beginning with a single 65lbs. shipment of coffee and a popcorn popper, the company now has multiple shop locations across the Southeast, importing well over 40,000lbs. of coffee a year alongside numerous cacao and tea imports.

Our mission is to develop sustainable communities through transparent trade. This mission not only focuses on our farmer partners and their communities but on the towns and cities we are grateful to be a part of in the States as well. From direct, fair trade initiatives to non-profit events and donations, our ultimate goal is to create not just environmental sustainability, but economic sustainability to ensure our world, our team, and our partners all have a way to move forward.

At Z Beans Coffee, our story begins in the heart of Ecuador—where the Andes meet the Amazon, and coffee cultivation is both an art and a way of life. From day one, we've built direct relationships with farmers in regions like Loja, Zaruma, and Puyango, empowering them with fair prices and consistent demand. Ecuador’s coffee scene is gaining global attention, as reported by Perfect Daily Grind, and we’re proud to help shine a spotlight on these remarkable producers through every roast we craft.

Our mission goes beyond delivering great coffee—it’s about making a lasting impact. We pay our farmer partners well above market and Fair Trade prices, ensuring that they can reinvest in their farms, their families, and their futures. In a world where coffee farmers are often overlooked, Z Beans chooses transparency, community, and long-term growth. Articles like this from Forbes underscore the importance of supporting sustainable and ethical sourcing, and we live out that commitment in every bag we roast.

From the mountains of Ecuador to the shelves of our Southeastern U.S. shops, we believe every cup tells a story.Whether you’re a local customer enjoying a cold brew or an online supporter across the country, you’re helping fund a better supply chain—one rooted in sustainability, empowerment, and quality.
